Fourth D&D Session

I apologize, but I am a session behind on getting this posted. I wanted to make sure that I posted it today so I did not get two sessions behind. On the bright side, this should have given everyone a chance to read the first three postings.

We valiantly fought the dragon and narrowly escaped death only to find out that the dragon didn’t want to die. When he was near defeat, he somehow managed to fully heal and grow in size. The conflicted knight in dark armour materialized above the dragon, surprised the Nine Hells out of us, started glowing, shocked the Abyss out of us, landed on the dragon, hit it with light, and shocked the Gehenna out of us.

The slime fell off of the dragon revealing its natural green color. This seemed to irk the fearsome (albeit less so now) beast as it picked the knight up in its mouth and threw him off of the cliff. Dawn sprouted wings and took flight after him, caught him, tied him up (which is starting to seem like our MO) even though the dragon had broken his back, and we started to interrogate him.

It turns out that he was given a second chance and was now trying to rescue his wife and daughter. We wanted to save Waterdeep, but were teleported to an area outside the compound where his daughter was being held captive. While debating whether to storm the keep in search of the daughter, or strategically pick off the guards outside the fortress first, Jed offer the advice “Hos before foes!”. Much to his dismay, he was outvoted.

After distracting the guards outside and dishonorably stealthfully dispatching them, we entered the compound. The cult had put Alicia (the daughter) in a bag and was getting ready to leave with her. After killing the rest of the cultists, we took her out of the bag, and started to question her while still leaving her tied up (see what I mean about our MO) just in case. She said that this was the only family that she had ever known, and that they weren’t cultists. Although, she did rethink this belief when we pointed out that they had just tied her up and were hinting at killing her.

We left the compound and started to make our way back to civilization. However, Alicia wouldn’t stop yammering with ridiculous demands about untying her hands, letting her go, etc. Jed took care of the problem with a conjured ball-gag (see, this is what I’m on about). After she was deemed trustworthy, we did finally untie her.

It was about this time that we discovered that the trees didn’t look quite right but we couldn’t quite figure out what was wrong with them. Neither Jed, who has travelled far and wide after being told to “move away” from everywhere he has tried to settle, nor Expe the Ranger, nor Wiggy the Druid could recognize the area. We certainly weren’t where we thought we were being transported and definitely far from home.

Will our intrepid adventurers make it back? Will they be forever lost in the wilderness? Will they tie anyone else up (probably)? Don’t miss then next exciting episode!
